Working hard but still struggling to achieve your dream life? Many people work hard, whether through jobs, businesses, or other means, yet achieving their dream life often proves challenging. Instead, it often feels like they’re merely meeting their basic needs.

Everyone harbors dreams of what an ideal life should look like in the future—whether it’s becoming a millionaire, maintaining a healthy body, or pursuing a successful career—but these aspirations often remain just that: dreams.

In schools, colleges, and at home, we’ve learned a multitude of subjects—languages, physics, and mathematics—and earned degrees.

However, there’s been a notable absence in our education: guidance on living a happy, successful life. Despite making numerous resolutions at the start of each new year, how many of us actually stick to them until December 31st?

The issue lies in relying completely on your willpower. Fix this mistake to turn your effort into success!

Willpower will not work for the long run, but what you need are certain systems.

Achieve your dream life by fixing these mistakes

1. Fix your Systems

The main reason we fail to achieve anything in our lives is a lack of discipline. So, how do we implement discipline? The simple answer is to create systems in your life.

If you are a working professional, you may put in hard work from 10 to 6, but what truly matters is what you do from the moment you wake up until 10 AM, and from 6 PM until you go to sleep.

If you spend these times scrolling through social media, chatting, roaming aimlessly, shopping, eating junk food, or watching Netflix, how do you expect to achieve your goals?

Plan exactly what you want to do during these periods and how you can effectively manage your time to work towards your goals.

Perhaps this is the time you want to focus on self-care, personal development activities, or your passion projects. Create a proper plan for these times on working days.

You can even paste a planner on your wall, set alarms on your phone, or schedule your week in advance on your phone calendar, detailing what tasks need to be completed each day during these times.

Similarly, create a system for the weekend as well. This way, you can easily allocate time for household activities, spending time with your loved ones, cleaning, eating, and working towards your goals.

2. Fix your Peak Performance time

If you create a proper system, you will identify a certain time within the 24-hour day that is highly productive for you, allowing you to work efficiently and effectively.

Unfortunately, many people overlook or fail to utilize this valuable time in their lives, which is another reason for their struggles in achieving success.

For some individuals, this peak productivity time may be in the morning, while for others, it may occur at night. It’s essential to recognize when you can work for yourself without distractions.

Don’t dismiss the idea by saying you don’t have such time; if you feel you don’t, it likely means you lack a proper system in your life.

Take steps to create that time, even if it’s just 15 to 30 minutes. Starting small is enough, as consistently dedicating time to yourself for even just 30 minutes a day can make a significant difference in your life.

So starting today, analyze your day from morning until bedtime and identify your peak performance time. This simple practice can lead to remarkable improvements in your productivity and overall success.

3. Fix your Tool

Just like a tree cutter who neglects to sharpen his axe, no matter how skilled he is, he won’t be able to cut down a tree effectively. Similarly, no matter how efficient you are, you won’t be able to lead a happy life if your tool, the mind, isn’t properly maintained.

Incorporate specific routines into your daily life to sharpen your mind, such as meditation, mindfulness, and mental exercises like affirmations, visualization, and journaling. By doing these practices regularly, you’ll ensure that your mind is in top condition to tackle life’s challenges.
